Aldrich Park is a 19-acre botanical garden in the center of UCI and is named after the first Chancellor of UCI, Daniel Aldrich. It is encompassed by Ring Road, with several paths in, out and through Aldrich Park and is surrounded by the several schools of UCI. Students typically travel through Aldrich Park on their way to class.

The newly built Parkview Classroom Building is the only classrooms that may be found in Aldrich Park. In typical UCI fashion, many students found themselves lost in search of the Parkview Classroom Building that had yet to appear on any official maps. Suffice to say that the Parkview Classroom Building does exist and was quickly added to maps of UCI soon after. Two eateries may also be found on the outskirts of Aldrich Park, Phoenix Grille next to the School of Social Sciences and B.C.'s Cavern Food Court.

Being the largest open space at UCI, Aldrich Park is often host to campus wide events such as Welcome Week, Celebrate UCI and commencement ceremonies. Other observed activities include relaxing, sleeping, capture the flag, Frisbee and chasing the ubiquitous bunnies that can found everywhere at UCI.

On windy days, the tall eucalyptus trees that shade Aldrich Park can be seen blowing in the wind. Temporary signs are placed to warn of falling branches that are sometimes bigger than the paths themselves.
