That building by HIB. Well actually it's not HIB anymore. Or is it? Constructing new buildings isn't the only way to confuse students. Good luck finding HICF too, since that's what used to be here.
More construction at the expense of IERF. Some people celebrated it's demise.
Where did the sidewalk go? Is walking against UCI policy now too? The "sidewalk" is now through the parking lot.
The not so inside joke a UCI tradition that is repeated on every tour guide. It is one alternative name for UCI is "Under Construction Indefinitely", which refers to the building boom that began in the 1980's and has yet to be completed. On any given walk around campus you'll notice several construction projects and you'll start to realize a significant portion of your classrooms weren't even there when you first arrived. New buildings, such as Donald Bren Hall and Parkview Classroom Building, sometimes even open faster than they appear on official UCI maps. Students that have attend UCI for years suddenly find themselves wandering around campus like freshmen in search of a building that apparently doesn't exist.
